Drain Strike - No Acid Urinal Treatment

Uratic Salt Buildup in Urinals
Uratic Salts or Uric Acid Salts can be a major headache for facility managers,
maintenance supervisors and plumbers.  Rust, lime, scale and uratic salts quickly
line the urinal drain lines, which can cause drain clogs and foul odors.
Additionally, waterless urinals have dramatically increased the necessity for better
drain preservation.  Some people have tried muriatic acid, but this is a very
dangerous chemical to handle and the fumes given off when mixed with urine
minerals is very strong!  Additionally it will ruin your copper and metal pipes.

A Simple Maintenance Program
A simple maintenance program of applying Drain Strike on a regular basis (twice
monthly) will effectively remove uratic salts buildup in your lines. Removing the
scale, uratic salts and slime deposits will also eliminate the foul odors.  Simply
add the pre-measured 4 ounce bottle of Drain Strike every other week to open
urinal drain lines and keep them flowing.

The smell of the urinals can be overpowering, and the chemicals prescribed to clean them are generally harsh, toxic, and underwhelming in their ability to
get the job done. All to often, multiple products are required to tackle the different kinds of encrusted buildup, and the mixing of these products causes
harmful fumes, that is apparent with many industrial cleaners.  Click here to learn more.

Urinal Auger Tool
In addition to calcium build ups, urinal drains can get clogged by trash and other
debris that people sometimes throw in urinals.  You need to have a tool on hand to
handle this problem.  No need to call a plumber and pull the urinal off the wall.  Try
this telescoping urinal auger which features a 48" spring for clearing stoppages
beyond the urinal.

After you've worked the first two feet into the line, you can go two feet farther simply
by pressing a button and pulling back the crank handle. The outer steel tube is a big
1-1/8" in diameter.  The aluminum hexagonal guide tube is tougher than the steel rod
used in our closet augers. Weighing less than 2 lbs, the compact, durable Teletube
Urinal Auger includes a rust resistant steel tube, vinyl grip handle with "Grip Clip" for
securing the cable, and a rubber bumper to protect the urinal bowl.
